Completing Activation for your OnePlus One (GSM Only)#

Follow these directions to complete activation for the for the OnePlus One.

These directions are designed for OnePlus One devices running Android Lollipop (5.1.1) and CyanogenMod 12.1.

1. Correctly install your activated Ting GSM X1 SIM card#

The OnePlus One SIM card tray can be installed incorrectly.

When installed correctly, the SIM card tray (or the gold part of the SIM card) will be facing toward the back of the phone.

2. Reset APN to Default#

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Mobile networks
  3. Access Point Names
  4. Tap the menu icon (vertical line of 3 dots)
  5. Tap Reset to default

3. Add Ting Data APN Settings#

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Mobile networks
  3. Access Point Names
  4. Tap the Add (+ icon) to add a new APN
  5. Enter APN settings
    • Name: Ting Data
    • APN: wholesale
    • APN type: Enter the following exactly as written without spaces:default,admin,fota,mms,supl,hipri,internet,dun
  6. If it's not set, enter 310 for MCC
  7. If it's not set, enter 260 for MNC.
  8. For APN protocol, enter IPv6
  9. For APN roaming protocol, enter IPv6
  10. Tap the Menu key/icon
  11. Tap Save
  12. Select Ting Data as your APN
  13. Restart the device and wait for it to find the Ting network - this may take a minute or so
  14. Confirm that you're able to access data

If you experience issues with data, try resetting the APN protocol and APN roaming protocol (steps 8 and 9) to IPv4 and IPv6.

4. Add Ting MMS APN Settings#

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Mobile networks
  3. Access Point Names
  4. Tap the Add (+ icon) to add a new APN
  5. Enter APN settings
  6. If it's not set, enter 310 for MCC.
  7. If it's not set, enter 260 for MNC.
  8. For APN protocol, enter IPv4
  9. For APN roaming protocol, enter IPv4
  10. Tap the Menu key/icon
  11. Tap Save
  12. Select Ting Data as your APN - your phone will use the MMS APN settings automatically as it needs to.
  13. Restart the device and wait for it to find the Ting network - this may take a minute or so
  14. Confirm that you're able to send pictures messages
